The top five reasons why Nevadans should pass the marijuana regulation initative.

Todd Mc Cormick was arrested by DEA on July 29,1997.(P.D.F) http://www.drugsense.org/mcwilliams/www.growmedicine.com/pdf/How2grow.pdf

This year (2006)  Nevadan's will vote for a initiative that will regulate the sell's of marijuana in our state. The initiative has sensible safeguards for where marijuana can be sold and who can sell it, which is a change from what's happening now; currenlty, anyone can sell marijuana and is doing so whenever and wherever they want. DRUG WAR FACTS In 2004, 44.2 percent of the 1,745,712 total arrests in the US for drug abuse violations were for marijuana -- a total of 771,605. Of those, 684,319 people were arrested for possession alone. By contrast in 2000, a total of 734,497 Americans were arrested for marijuana offenses, of which 646,042 were for possession alone. Annual Causes of Death in the United States by drug use! 1.Tobacco 435,000) 2.Alcohol 85,000) 3. All Illicit Drug use, Direct & Indirect 17,000) 4. Non steroidal Anti Inflammatory Such As Aspirin 7,600) 5. Marnjuana : 07) It is time the United States stop there war on the people of this country just for enjoying them selves or useing marnjuana for Medical use. There are people behind bars for possenison of little more than a joint . I feel that the law maker,s that surport this are the real crimials. NV had one of the toughest drug law,s in the United States and now has changed. I have; heard horror stories of lives destoried just for a little marnjuana it has to stop. I support the initiative and worked two time's to put it on the ballet. Our current marijuana laws don't work yet we tudge blindly ahead with the same faile policy In the last few years, police have arrested more than 10,000 Nevadans for possession of Marijuana. And continue to arrest more people annually for marijuana offenses in this country than the populations of Las Vegas and Reno combined every year. By regulating & taxing mariuana, the initiative would take the money out of the hands of violent gangs and crminals who are now selling marijuana, and instead put money into education, drug and alcohol treatment, and other areas where the money is needed. Do you soppot ending marijuana prihibiton?
